ORCHESTRA SCHOLARSHIP
Jakequeline "Jake" Walls made a donation to provide scholarship opportunities for string musicians to attend Sinfo-Nia Youth Orchestra’s 2026-27 School Year Session.
Proceeds will support two full scholarships and one partial scholarship. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for providing their own transportation, instrument, and supplies to participate.

**No previous instrument experience required
Application Completion Requirements
All Materials are due Friday, September 25, 2026, 11:59 PM.

Candidate must participate in one of the upcoming Saturday classes in September with instrument: 9/12, 9/19, 9/26 (from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM).

Candidate's 400-word essay of the reason they are studying music must be submitted through the application form (link below) in Section 2, Question 16.

Letter of Recommendation from their Homeroom Teacher must be sent as a PDF to info@sinfo-nia.com.
Optional: Additional supporting materials (audio/video clips of student performance, original compositions, one letter of recommendation from the student's music instructor, etc.) must be submitted via a Google Drive Link to info@sinfo-nia.com.

Jakequeline "Jake" Walls attended the Emerson School for the Visual and Performing arts in Gary, Indiana, where she majored in orchestra. Jakequeline’s dedication to service has earned meaningful recognition throughout her career where she has received several awards such as the 2018 Emergency Medical Technician of the Year for Georgia Region 3 and as an Honorary Georgia Citizen by State Senator Gail Davenport of the 44th District of Georgia. Jakequeline is deeply committed to uplifting her peers, young people, and the broader community. In 2016, she became CEO of Elevating Scholars Through Alumni, Inc., where she leads horticultural programs in local schools and recreation centers. Her passion for service also inspired her to establish a non-emergency transportation company that helps seniors and people with disabilities access essential medical appointments. Across public safety, education, entrepreneurship, andcommunity service, Jakequeline remains focused on bridging gaps, meeting practical needs, and helping improve the quality of life for others.
